This place is terrible and overpriced!! Went up from 1750 for 1 bedroom to 2450 in less then a year ???and a studio from 1500-1600 to 2250??????Shame on you...

The price of rent has gone up over $500 since I moved in in May 2021. My rent for a two-bedroom in May was $1895/month. Currently (September 2021) they are going for $2550. This place has a reputation as being in the worst part of town and that is correct. The buildings themselves are falling apart and my apartment wasn't even clean when I moved in. The management was super responsive before I moved in and emailed me back within hours. Once I was a resident it took days to get a reply. Now that I've moved out and want my deposit refund information I can't even get a response. Sunset Terrace is barely worth cheap rent, it's definitely not worth this expensive rent. Do yourself a favor and try to rent on Front Street instead!

I can't say enough good things about my rental experience at Sunset. Dante was our leasing agent and he ensured our onboarding process was smooth. I found him to be very professional, thorough and full of aloha! The unit itself is clean and well maintained, with smart upgrades such as the pergo floor. The amenities offered on the property also help make it a terrific place to live. And of course you can't beat the location! Across the street from the ocean and within walking distance of shops and eateries. Wonderful overall apartment complex!

We stayed at Sunset terrace for a 3 month lease. I found the office staff to be sweet and accommodating. Maintenance requests were taken care of quickly. And our overall experience was positive. The grounds were kept clean. Neighbors were (mostly) quiet at night. The pool area was clean and we used it frequently. My one “complaint” is that the buildings are old and leaky combined with small/old AC units. We found it difficult and expensive to keep our apartment cool. Most of the tenants at Sunset terrace kept their windows open for a cross breeze and didn’t seem bothered by the heat. We just like it a bit cooler indoors I guess. We got all but $180 of our deposit back. It was listed as an “end of contract fee”. I felt it was a reasonable amount to receive back.
